Sprint Nextel and Palm will start selling their heavily anticipated Pre smart phone early next month. The touch-screen model that was introduced by Palm to early this year is being considered as Apple iPhone competitor.

The Pre, which has a slide-out keyboard, includes features new to mobile devices such as the ability to open several screens or programs simultaneously. Slide out the keyboard for faster and easier texting. Close it up and rotate Pre for music, websites, photos, and videos in full widescreen glory. You get the best of both worlds in one beautifully designed phone. Text messages and calendar appointments appear as notifications at the bottom of the screen.
